What We Do

loss documentation

Based on all the information gathered during site visits, YA consultants prepare accurate, detailed reports on the scope of the loss. That is so all parties involved can understand the exact work that must be performed and how much it will cost.

YA reports also include documentation in the form of construction schedules, photos and drawings (existing or YA-developed), and video, in some instances.

We want our estimate to reflect the condition of the buildin just prior to the loss. We clearly describe how the structure will look, once repaired, and what finishes will be installed or used.

We detail the scope and cost of repairs with needed specifications. YA ensures that all costs-beyond the obvious ones of material and labor- are included in our estimates. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Area labor rates
  • Safety requirements
  • Time at the site
  • Site location
  • Direct overhead
  • Mark-ups
  • Weather that may affect reconstruction
  • Fees
  • Taxes
  • Insurance

YA experts also research local and state code requirements to ascertain whether existing or new codes will affect reconstruction. If there are such codes, we perform technical and cost evaluations on them.

We provide accurate estimates for building damage reconstruction costs for fire, water, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and other natural damages.

Our team specializes in casualty losses and the settlement of property claims.

We ensure that accurate and detailed damage estimates are completed in a timely manner so the restoration process can begin as soon as possible.
